Kristen C. Strieker began her legal journey at Saint Louis University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a Creative and Professional Writing Certificate.  While attending SLU, Kristen was a Dean’s Scholar, and she received the AEJMC Lawrence R. Campbell Research Award as a co-author of a legal research paper, which was selected for publication in 2009.

Kristen continued her education at SLU, receiving her Juris Doctor from the St. Louis University School of Law. Throughout law school, Kristen was actively involved as a student member of the Women’s Law Student Association and the Illinois Bar Association.  Kristen served as an ISBA Law Student Council Representative for SLU Law, and she received a Academic Excellence Award for her coursework in Federal Courts.  

During law school, Kristen worked as a Rule 13 Extern for Catholic Legal Assistance Ministry, where she represented clients in a variety of family law cases, including, but not limited to, divorce, separation, child custody, child support, orders of protection, and domestic abuse.  Following law school, Kristen worked in family law almost exclusively, first as an associate attorney for Stange Law Firm, P.C. in Edwardsville, Illinois and then at Sherer Law Offices.

Kristen is married, and she lives with her husband and their two young children in Glen Carbon, Illinois. Despite her other successes in her education and career, Kristen will be the first to say that becoming a parent was her greatest accomplishment to date.
