Sydney P. McNece graduated summa cum laude from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville with a bachelor’s in political science. While at SIUE, Sydney was a Dean’s List recipient and received the Gordon D. Bush Political Science Scholarship and the Political Science Senior Assignment Award.

Sydney is currently a student at Saint Louis University School of Law. Sydney is a Dean’s Scholar and has received the Academic Excellence Award in Legal Analysis, Research, and Communication. Throughout law school, Sydney has been an active participant in student governance. She served as the Secretary and Treasurer of the Women’s Law Student Association and Vice President of the Criminal Law Society.

During law school, Sydney worked as a Rule 13 Intern for the Missouri State Public Defender’s Office in the St. Louis City Trial Office. She also interned with the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office and served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Heinz Rudolf, Circuit Judge in the 20th Judicial Circuit of St. Clair County. In these roles, Sydney developed a strong passion for litigation and gained valuable experience researching legal issues, drafting motions, observing courtroom proceedings, and working closely with attorneys and judges on complex legal matters.

Sydney began working for Strieker Law Firm LLC in December 2024 and has worked closely alongside the firm’s attorneys and support staff in a variety of family law matters. Through this experience, she has developed a deeper understanding of family law and the importance of providing compassionate, client-centered representation during difficult and emotional legal disputes. Working with the team has strengthened her desire to build a career advocating for families and individuals navigating the legal system.

She is expected to graduate from Saint Louis University School of Law in May 2026 and plans to sit for the Illinois Bar Exam in July 2026. Upon passage of the bar exam and licensure in the State of Illinois, Sydney will join Strieker Law Firm LLC as an Associate Attorney.

Sydney lives in O’Fallon, Illinois, with her boyfriend and their cat. When she is not at school or in the office, she enjoys reading fantasy novels, watching documentaries, and volunteering with her brother’s Special Olympics team.
